Series Bumper: Awakening

Here's another setup animation I did for a series at Foothills Community Church.

I used After Effects, some huge earth maps from NASA, and a tutorial from VideoCopilot.net about the blue marble.

The song is "Awakening" from Hillsong United's latest recording "Aftermath," which is great!

Series Bumper: Control Freak

Here's an animation I created in 3D for a message/theme setup for the series "Control Freak" at FCC.

I used Blender to create the scene and animate in 3D. I modeled the controller based on a Sony Playstation DVD controller. The mug and the cell phone models were found in the Blender Repository.

Some final effects, sequence editing, and audio were added using Final Cut Pro.

The song "Control" is by MuteMath. You should definitely buy their music, which is excellent.

Series Bumper: No Guts, No Glory

Phew. I ran into major errors trying to figure this one out. Here is my first run at creating an entirely 3D animation for a series bumper.

Notice the physics simulation on the dog tags, and especially every individual joint on the chain at the end. Add some camera crane animation, DoF, some sound fx, and of course a little Foo Fighters and you'll have something good every time.

I've been using the open-source, completely free 3D program called Blender.
